Portal Frame, Tunbridge Wells

We were appointed to supply and erect the structural steel package for a new tractor garage and associated kennel building at a private country residence. The works were delivered as a £27k supply and erect package, incorporating approximately 4 tonnes of steel across 43 individual members, including the cold-rolled sections required to support the roof sheet system.

A total station survey of the existing slab was undertaken prior to fabrication to verify levels and ensure accurate setting out. This allowed baseplate positions and connection details to be finalised with confidence before steel was processed, reducing the likelihood of site adjustment during erection.

The structural frame was fabricated, delivered and erected in line with the agreed programme, with all elements sequenced to allow efficient installation. Coordination with the client ensured that access, delivery and lifting arrangements were planned in advance, supporting a straightforward erection process.

The project progressed smoothly from survey through to completion, with the steel frame installed accurately and within programme, providing a durable and practical structure suited to the operational needs of the property.
