Balcony Project, Worthing
We were appointed to deliver a full balcony package for a residential development in Worthing, comprising over 50 individual balconies distributed across multiple towers. The scope included design coordination, detailing, fabrication, powder coating, integration of aluminium glazing tracks and installation of structural glass balustrades.
During initial inspections it became clear that the Schöck thermal break brackets installed by the RC frame contractor were neither level nor plumb. As a result, every balcony position required individual verification. Each tower was surveyed independently to capture accurate as-built data, ensuring connection details and fabrication tolerances were adjusted to suit site conditions.
The scale and repetition of the package demanded disciplined coordination and rigorous quality control throughout detailing and production. All balconies were fabricated to suit their respective surveyed positions prior to finishing and installation.
Despite the complexities introduced by the irregular bracket positions, the package was delivered accurately and in sequence, resulting in a consistent façade finish across the development and demonstrating our ability to manage large-volume, detail-intensive balcony installations within a structured programme.
